Face Time
by Apple Inc.
Don’t limit  your classroom to influences within its physical confines. Face Time provides your students’ exposure to new places and characters in real time that allows true interaction. You can take your class on a virtual field trip, allow them to interview persons of interest, and even allow your students to “show and tell” from their home.

Dr. Wanda Wade of the University of West Florida has been using Face Time to monitor and assess teachers in real time without distracting the classroom. Administrators can now get an honest look into each class. More more information on virtual coaching please visit

How It Works?

Using Face Time in a classroom setting can be tricky depending on your school’s network capabilities. It is advisable to allow adequate time to set up the phone call. It can also help to have a backup plan, such as a Skype account.

Cost and Platforms
Face Time is a free app that comes pre-installed on your iPad.
