10 Frame Fill
by Classroom Focused Software
10 Frame Fill uses one exercise to improve and test the student’s addition skills in the family of ten. Blue chips are placed within a table with ten spaces. The students drag and drop yellow chips to count out how many more chips will make 10. The app is limited to one activity, but its simple and easy-to-use interface is very effective for practicing this concept.

10 Frame Fill includes a few options that each teacher will want to adjust before the student begins. A great advantage to using an exercise like 10 Frame Fill on a tablet is the ability to adjust the difficult settings based on each student’s skill level.

How It Works?

The only common problem we have found with 10 Frame Fill is that students have the tendency to stall when they finish one problem. You will need to provide clear instructions to tap “New Frame” after each problem is completed.
